Manshi
Manshi, joined our Supervised Homework Scheme at the New Seemapuri centre in 2022 when she was in Class VI. She belongs to a family that migrated from Uttar Pradesh to Delhi in search of better opportunities. The father works as a roadside tailor, and is the sole breadwinner. Her mother expired in 2023 due to illness. Manshi has three siblings.
When she joined our centre, Manshi was good in languages but found mathematics as well as fluency in reading very difficult. Over the last two years she has shown great improvement, and stood 2nd in her Class VII examinations scoring 80% marks.
Manshi is also a keen participant in all the co-curricular activities conducted at the centre, her school and in the community. She dances well and has also bagged a prize for football in matches organised in the community.
For her outstanding overall performance, she was selected to take part in the national “Learn to Live Together” camp organised in Mohali. She not only participated in all the activities but also won a gold medal in collage-making.
We hope she continues to go forward with the same zest and enthusiasm!
