Harsh Kumar – Sky is the limit

Harsh Kumar joined the Educational Sponsorship Programme while in the 9th grade. His father, a receptionist at a private company, earns ₹18,000 per month, while his mother is a homemaker. The family lives in a rented house, and Harsh’s younger sister, who has completed schooling, is trying to to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor.

Despite financial hardships, Harsh remained a bright and dedicated student. With the sponsorship support, he was able to access essential study materials for his JEE preparation. His perseverance paid off—he scored 87% in his 12th board exams and 89% in JEE Mains, securing admission into IIT Delhi, where he is now pursuing a B.Tech. in Computer Science.

He also received one-time assistance of ₹75,000 from DCCW to support his college admission. Harsh remains deeply grateful to his sponsor, acknowledging their support as a crucial factor in his journey.
